What are the responsibilities and job description for the Incident Manager position at Blue Chip Talent?
We need someone responsible for monitoring mainframe and IT infrastructure environments, managing Level 1 incidents, and escalating technology issues to appropriate support teams. The position also monitors system performance and supports day-to-day operational activities in a fully onsite environment.
This is full onsite and the shift is Tues-Sat 8am-430pm

Job Duties
- Function as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical IT incidents and events
- Create, escalate, triage, and track technology-related incidents through resolution
- Monitor mainframe control consoles and evaluate system performance and availability
- Utilize graphical monitoring platforms to track infrastructure connectivity, assets, and services
- Execute and interpret mainframe operator commands, including commands within CICS environments
- Assist with the review and validation of mainframe Job Control Language (JCL)
- Coordinate incident activity across IT support teams and external vendors
- Perform assigned physical deliveries and lift up to 50 pounds as required
Skills & Experience
Required
- Experience with CICS (Customer Information Control System) and associated commands
- P1/P2 ticket escalation experience
- Experience with IT incident management, production support, or operations center processes
- Experience using infrastructure or systems monitoring technologies
- Working knowledge of mainframe Job Control Language (JCL)
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft Teams
- Ability to work onsite Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including scheduled holidays as required

- Experience with What's Up Gold, Pingdom, and/or PRTG
- Experience supporting critical incidents in an enterprise IT environment
- Experience monitoring infrastructure availability, connectivity, assets, and services
