Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking a skilled GL Accountant. This role is responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
Job Duties
- Prepare timely and precise financial statements for supply chain center segments
- Record period-end adjusting entries, including accruals and adjustments
- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and certifications
- Monitor account activity and notify management of unusual transactions
- Review profit and loss statements to identify key variance drivers
- Collaborate with accounts payable, receivable, cash, and other finance functions to ensure ledger accuracy
- Maintain internal controls and adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance standards
- Provide financial summaries and reports to internal stakeholders upon period close
Skills & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database applications
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Desired
- Experience with supply chain or logistics finance environments
- Knowledge of SOX principles and internal control processes
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
