Role Description The Accountant is a full-time hybrid role based in Plymouth, MI, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts. Day-to-day activities include supporting month-end and year-end close, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The Accountant will collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership teams to provide timely financial data, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support internal controls and audit activities. This role also contributes to process improvements in the accounting function and helps maintain a high level of data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in core accounting functions, such as general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end and year-end close activities.
- Ability to use accounting and ERP software effectively, along with strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing or a product-based business environment is beneficial.
