Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time position offers 35 hours per week with assignments in a dynamic educational setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. The specific caseload and grade assignments will be confirmed closer to your start date, allowing for a tailored fit to your strengths and interests.
You’ll help students achieve greater independence, enhance their participation in school activities, and contribute meaningfully to their academic and social success. Participate in the New Hire Orientation from August 12th to 14th and bring your expertise to a collaborative school team!
What you need to bring:
- Active Illinois OT or COTA license (please have your documentation ready for submission)
- School-based experience strongly preferred, with comfort providing OT services in K-12 settings
- Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participation in multidisciplinary meetings is a plus
- Strong communication abilities when working with staff, students, and families
- Professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to high-quality, student-centered care
- Availability for full-time, onsite work throughout the school year
Key responsibilities:
- Provide OT interventions and assessments for students with diverse needs across grade levels
- Collaborate with educational staff and related services professionals
