This is a full-time, in-person contract role serving a diverse student population near Gig Harbor, Washington. You’ll work 7.5 hours each day alongside dedicated colleagues, helping children reach their full potential.
Your grade band assignment will be tailored to your strengths and campus needs. This flexibility allows you to leverage your skills and experience where they’re needed most. As part of a team of OTs, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering students’ independence, participating in IEP teams, and collaborating closely with educators and families.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Washington State ESA Occupational Therapy license
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI prior to start date
- Solid experience as a school-based OT, supporting students within educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, ideally with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility in managing a dynamic caseload and adapting to changing student needs
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning and supporting all students
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in assigned grade ranges
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment goals within IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student care plans
- Complete required documentation and participate in eligibility and progress meetings
- Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to students’ developmental levels
