Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state eligibility required)
- Experience or strong interest in working within elementary and/or middle school environments
- Knowledge of best practices in individualized instruction and inclusive education
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general education staff, families, and related services
- Ability to adapt to different support models, including intensive, supplemental, and hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique strengths and challenges
- Provide direct instruction and support in academic, social, and behavioral skill areas
- Assess student progress to inform instruction and necessary interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance each child’s educational experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing communication with families
