Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Physical Therapy (PT) license required
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for effective teamwork with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability to manage a dynamic, itinerant schedule across multiple sites
- Ability to independently assess, design, and implement therapeutic interventions for K-12 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students with varying needs in several school environments
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy as determined by IEPs
- Consult and collaborate with educators and related staff to support student access and participation in instructional programs
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and progress records in accordance with district standards
- Attend IEP meetings, share professional insights, and contribute expertise to interdisciplinary teams
- Adapt approaches to meet program goals and evolving student needs over the course of the contract
