We’re seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, contract position with a leading special education district. This assignment offers the rewarding opportunity to work with K-12 students, assisting them in developing the skills they need to access their educational environment and promote independence.
Key Details:
- Full-time, onsite role during the 2026-2027 school year (exact dates to be finalized)
- New Hire Orientation from August 12 – August 14
- 35 hours per week
- Caseload and grade levels assigned upon placement
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois OT or COTA license—please include verification using the state lookup tool
- Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy preferred
- Ability to support a varied K-12 caseload, adapting interventions to meet individual student needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills working with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to inclusive practices and advancing student success

- Provide direct therapy services within the school environment
- Complete evaluations, develop treatment plans, and contribute to IEP meetings
