Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree required
- Board certification as an Athletic Trainer
- Experience in general education settings strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain or already possess all Department of Health-required credentials
- Comfortable working full-time onsite, including occasional travel for state-level competitions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Candidates must engage in a BIE adjudication process, which may extend onboarding by approximately one week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive “sports medicine” care to school athletic teams
- Collaborate with coaches, staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure athlete safety and readiness
- Manage injury assessment, preventive care, and rehabilitation within a scholastic setting
- Maintain accurate health and treatment records
- Accompany teams to state competitions, providing supervision and immediate care as needed
- Work within policy and departmental guidelines to support student health and compliance
