Their portfolio includes notable large scale art installations and custom design features featured in guest rooms, lobby environments, reception areas, corridors, restaurants, bars, amenity spaces, and spa settings across a variety of high-profile commercial projects.
They are seeking a highly visual Commercial Studio Artist to join their core creative team. This role requires strong conceptual thinking, refined aesthetic judgment, and the ability to translate client inspiration into original, production ready artwork. The studio operates as a small, collaborative environment where each artist plays a key role in both concept development and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop original artwork concepts for hospitality and commercial spaces
- Translate client references into legally distinct and original designs
- Create large scale murals, wallcoverings, sculptural elements, lighting features, and textile concepts
- Produce presentation ready mockups and design variations
- Prepare artwork files for large format printing and fabrication
- Collaborate with printers, fabricators, and production partners
- Review samples and materials to ensure quality, artistic integrity, and production ready output
Skills and Experience:
- Advanced in Photoshop
- Strong conceptual thinking and visual sensibility
- Ability to work independently while being receptive to direction
- Proficiency in Illustrator, and the use of AI as a creative tool; additional artistic mediums are a plus
- Experience creating large scale or production-oriented artwork
- Detail oriented, efficient, solutions focused, and comfortable working under deadlines
- Full time, in office availability in NY
Required Experience:
- A portfolio demonstrating original artwork (large scale or production-based work strongly preferred)
- Experience preparing artwork for print or fabrication
- Strong understanding of color, scale, materials, and how artwork translates into physical form
