Job Title: Agile Product Owner
Location: Onsite
Employment Type: 12 Month Contract with the possibility for extensions, W2 Contract

BEPC is seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to play a pivotal role in the development of software that powers advanced medical instruments used in pathology laboratories. In this onsite role, you will serve as the voice of the customer for a dedicated software development team, guiding the delivery of customer-focused features that translate complex workflows and design principles into impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the software development team, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
• Own and manage the team backlog, including creation of design concepts, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Define, prioritize, and formally accept team deliverables based on performance against specifications and customer needs
• Champion customer-centric design by translating user workflows and design principles into actionable development work
• Provide servant leadership to a self-organizing Agile team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Participate in design reviews and guide discussions to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions
• Support effective project execution by facilitating alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience working in a software development environment
• Proven ability to guide technical teams and support complex software initiatives
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate large-scale system design and implementation challenges
• Excellent communication skills with experience translating business needs to technical teams
• Working knowledge of Agile principles and best practices for software delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience working as a Product Owner within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment
• Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and prioritizing product backlogs
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and adapt messaging to diverse audiences
• Confidence driving alignment, addressing challenges directly, and maintaining project momentum
• Background in software architecture or technical design
• Project management experience, particularly within software delivery initiatives

Contract Details

• Pay Rate: $48.10–$67.31 per hour (depending on experience)
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Work Location: 100% Onsite (5 days per week)
• Position Type: W2 Contract
