The Human Services Specialist IV will serve as a key member of the Montgomery County Connector Entity team, providing direct community outreach, engagement, and education to underserved and underrepresented populations. This role ensures residents receive accurate information, support, and guidance regarding health insurance options available through the Maryland Health Connection. The Specialist will represent the County at community events, respond to client inquiries, and maintain accurate outreach and activity documentation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct community outreach, engagement, and education to underserved and underrepresented communities throughout Montgomery County.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, offering guidance, support, and referrals based on client needs.
- Represent the Montgomery County Connector Entity in a professional and knowledgeable manner during public outreach and education events to raise awareness about Maryland Health Connection health insurance options.
- Assist clients with navigating available resources, ensuring timely follow-up and quality customer service.
- Collect, track, and report outreach activity data, maintaining accurate documentation for internal reporting and program evaluation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Experience in community outreach and engagement
- Ability to work professionally with diverse populations
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds at times.
- Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however, evening and weekend hours may be required.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
