About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 2 years of litigation experience to join our growing practices in Dallas and Houston. This role operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote), offering a balance of collaborative in-office work and dynamic remote flexibility.
You will manage a diverse caseload from initial assignment through resolution, working alongside top-tier defense litigators while handling high-stakes matters for regional and national carriers.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage defense files independently from case inception through trial, mediation, or settlement.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
- Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials across Texas jurisdictions.
- Perform thorough legal analysis, risk assessments, and prepare detailed status reports for insurance carriers and clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas (in good standing with the State Bar of Texas).
- 2 years of civil litigation experience in Insurance Defense, General Liability, Premises Liability, Transportation/Trucking, Personal Injury, or Construction Litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to comfortably meet a 1,950 billable hour requirement.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy, research, and negotiation skills.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $220,000. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
