What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Aperture Group?
Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly close process for two smaller operating companies, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist with corporate consolidation activities, including preparation of consolidation entries and support for reporting packages
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and provide variance commentary for assigned entities
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for smaller operating companies
- Partner with local management teams to provide financial insight and practical recommendations
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), core accounting principles, and monthly close activities
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage responsibilities with limited oversight
- NetSuite, QuickBooks, and/or Planful experience is a plus!
- Interest in pursuing a CPA, CMA, or other professional credentials a plus!
