What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Aperture Group?
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex construction projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals are met
- Define project scope and communicate objectives across internal teams and stakeholders
- Lead and coordinate project teams including Project Engineers, Foremen, CAD staff, and Design Engineers
- Review and interpret construction drawings including electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural plans
- Track project schedules, identify critical path items, and proactively resolve issues
- Manage project financials including forecasting, budgeting, and margin control
- Prepare contract management reports and provide strategic project updates to leadership
- Negotiate and manage change orders with clients
- Coordinate closely with clients, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- ~10 years of experience in electrical construction or project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, estimating, and project scheduling
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with construction estimating tools and project management software preferred
