What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager – Industrial / Warehouse Programs position at Aperture Group?
This role is a contract (W-2) position with the possibility to extend after 4-6 weeks. This role requires you to be on-site at the client facility during the entire project duration (100% travel). Upcoming project sites are in California, Nevada, and Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale industrial and warehouse-based programs
- Oversee site launches, manage vendor coordination, and drive program execution while ensuring schedule, safety, and communication standards are met
- Ensure all project deliverables and launch milestones are met
- Provide daily and weekly updates to stakeholders detailing site status, schedule compliance, safety metrics, vendor issues etc.
- Lead weekly vendor-facing calls
- Oversee site project management responsibilities like reporting, site walks, and safety initiatives
- Drive testing, commissioning, and qualification activities to meet program requirements
- Ensure completion of project lifecycle milestones (kickoff through final closeout)
- Manage project closeout documentation and required system updates
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of site/project management experience in the material handling industry
- Engineering Degree preferred (Mechanical Engineering is a plus!)
- Experience managing multiple vendors and stakeholders
- Must be able to travel to project sites as required (100% travel role)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with site launch, commissioning, or retrofit programs a plus
