Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant's Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Accountant prepares financial, tax, and budget reports within established deadlines
- Perform forecasting and variance analysis as a Senior Accountant
- Assist with account reconciliations, journal entries, cash management, and related accounting processes
- Support internal and external audits, internal controls, and policy development
- The Senior Accountant researches and resolves discrepancies between the GL and subsidiary ledgers
- Recommend system and process improvements to increase efficiency and automation
- Partner with the Executive Team and Plant Manager to develop operational performance metrics
- Assist with banking activity, compliance, and treasury-related processes
- The Senior Accountant oversees month-end and year-end close activities
- Provide direct support to the VP of Accounting on audit-related procedures and requirements
- Assist with special projects and evolving department initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 4 years of accounting or finance experience required for the Senior Accountant role
- Strong corporate accounting and general ledger background
- Solid experience working with ERP systems
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
