Overview Of The Controller Role
- Plan and coordinate budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end closes, and related general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and publish financial statements including budgets, internal and external reports, forecasts, and income statements
- Coordinate auditing processes
- Review and set goals within the organization for continued growth and margin contribution
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience within a manufacturing company
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's
- Must be highly computer literate and be familiar with data mining and ERP systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously and prioritize based on deadlines
