Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk OB experience and current fetal monitoring skills.
Details
- Work in a Labor & Delivery/OB unit managing high-risk pregnancies
- Manages conditions such as preterm labor, high blood pressure, diabetes, VBAC, prenatal testing, and amniocentesis
- Provides childbirth education classes
- Care spans patient check-in through pre/post care and discharge
- Rotating day and night shifts, two days and one night per week, 36 hours weekly
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), AWHONN, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/OB experience required
- Fetal monitoring experience required
- Labor & Delivery skills checklist completed within the past year required
- One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- RTO requests should be limited to 5 days
