American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Inpatient and Rehab setting, requiring 1 years of acute inpatient or rehab experience.

• Acute Inpatient Rehab unit setting with occasional floating to acute care when volumes are low, and possible ICU coverage depending on experience
• Treats 10-12 patients per day with 6-7 PTs working per shift
• Patient population includes ortho total joints, neuro (strokes, occasional brain injuries, no TBI), medical, and general ICU cases
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 4x10-hour shifts, 0730-1800, Friday through Monday
• No self-scheduling or blocked scheduling requests accepted
• Rotating weekend requirement of approximately every 4th weekend, unless assigned to weekends as regular schedule
• Holiday coverage as needed

• Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting required
• BLS certification required
• State PT licensure required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

• Department has a PT Manager/Supervisor on each shift
• Team includes rehab aides and 2 PTAs
• Approximately 2-3 days of unit-specific orientation, with travelers working M-F 8-hour shifts during onboarding to accommodate the schedule
• Scrubs permitted but must not match colors used by other departments; color list provided upon hire
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Permanent employees must be separated from employment for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
