American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Inpatient and Rehab setting, requiring 1 years of acute inpatient or rehab experience.
Details- Acute Inpatient Rehab unit setting with occasional floating to acute care when volumes are low, and possible ICU coverage depending on experience
- Treats 10-12 patients per day with 6-7 PTs working per shift
- Patient population includes ortho total joints, neuro (strokes, occasional brain injuries, no TBI), medical, and general ICU cases
- Uses EPIC EMR
- 4x10-hour shifts, 0730-1800, Friday through Monday
- No self-scheduling or blocked scheduling requests accepted
- Rotating weekend requirement of approximately every 4th weekend, unless assigned to weekends as regular schedule
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting required
- BLS certification required
- State PT licensure required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Department has a PT Manager/Supervisor on each shift
- Team includes rehab aides and 2 PTAs
- Approximately 2-3 days of unit-specific orientation, with travelers working M-F 8-hour shifts during onboarding to accommodate the schedule
- Scrubs permitted but must not match colors used by other departments; color list provided upon hire
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Permanent employees must be separated from employment for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
