Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 3 years of circulating experience for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring an active NE or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room (OR) unit of an acute care hospital setting
- Unit consists of 2 operating rooms
- Cases include Colonoscopy, EGD, BMT, T&A, Arthroplasty (knee, hip, shoulder), Arthroscopy (knee, shoulder), Oral/Dentistry, Ophthalmic (Cataracts), and OB
- Duties include OR circulating, admitting patients, discharging patients, and recovery care
- Uses Omnicell and Cerner computerized charting system
- Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts
- On-call required one weekday per week and one weekend every 3rd or 4th weekend, subject to adjustment based on facility needs
- No floating required
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license in Nebraska (NE) or compact license without restrictions
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA) required, though candidates may start with it pending
- NRP certification highly preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an OR nurse required
- Pre- and Post-Op and Circulating experience required
- C-Section experience required
- Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program
- BSN not required
- Cerner EMR experience
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include serving as OR Circulator, admitting and discharging patients, and providing recovery care
- COVID vaccination required for all staff, with medical and religious exemptions accepted
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable, provided they are clean and professional
- On-the-job training provided for orientation
