Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring 3 years of ER experience and a VT or compact RN license.
Details
- Rural critical access hospital Emergency Department with 9 beds currently undergoing expansion
- Sees over 15,000 patients per year in a fast-paced environment
- Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 pm to 7 am
- Must be able to cover mid-shift hours as needed
- Uses Meditech EMR system
Requirements
- Current VT or compact multi-state RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ER RN experience required
- Familiarity with Meditech or ability to learn quickly required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and consult with specialties as needed to ensure optimal care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patients
- Must work well under pressure and be a proactive, quick-learning team member
- Located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom with no public transportation available in the area
- Closest airport is approximately 2 hours away
- Travelers typically start on Wednesdays
- During orientation week, 48-hour contracts are only guaranteed 36 hours due to the midweek start
- Credentialing must be uploaded no later than five business days before the start date to avoid delays
