IT Desktop Support Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support for end users across the organization. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring optimal performance of IT systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, applications, and network connectivity
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Assist with device setup, imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Monitor and maintain system performance, updates, and security compliance
- Document incidents, solutions, and processes within the ticketing system
- Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts and devices
Qualifications:
- 2 years of IT support or help desk experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (user management, group policies, access control)
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common business applications
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM) is a plus
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure administration (user identity, conditional access, device compliance)
- Knowledge of security best practices and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft 365 Certified, or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Work Environment:
- Hybrid or onsite support environment
- May require occasional after-hours support or on-call rotation
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
