Product Owner

Akkodis is seeking a Product Owner for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in Insurance Pricing & Rating tools such as Ratabase and Earnix to deliver scalable, Guidewire-based digital solutions.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Product Owner Job Responsibilities Include

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, underwriting, pricing, and end users to gather requirements and translate P&C insurance needs into clear product features and user stories.
• Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog while prioritizing initiatives to support digital pricing, rating, and Guidewire-based solutions.
• Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure alignment with SAFe Agile practices.
• Oversee end‑to‑end product delivery, including design, development, testing, and release, ensuring adherence to quality and design standards.
• Develop and manage detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, leveraging hands‑on experience with Pricing & Rating tools such as Ratabase and Earnix.
• Monitor product performance and delivery progress using analytics and Jira/Rally, effectively communicating updates and risks to cross‑functional teams and leadership.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, Insurance, or a related discipline; MBA or Agile certifications are a plus.
• 6–8 years of experience in Product Ownership or Product Management, with hands‑on delivery in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Strong domain expertise in P&C Insurance, with direct experience in Pricing and Rating tools such as Ratabase and Earnix, preferably within Guidewire/COTS ecosystems.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage product backlogs and roadmaps, and drive end‑to‑end digital product delivery using Scrum, Jira/Rally, and user‑centered design principles.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
