Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. This role focuses on developing Python‑based automation solutions while executing and troubleshooting low‑level and UI‑level automation tasks across hardware and software environments.

Rate Range: $54/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Develops Python‑based automation frameworks and executes low‑level and UI‑level automation to validate hardware and software workflows.
• Troubleshoots automation scripts across Python, Ruby, Swift, or JavaScript while monitoring execution and resolving failures.
• Applies AI/ML techniques to build, train, and optimize models using strong mathematical foundations and programming expertise.
• Utilizes Unix and shell scripting to support automation environments, tooling, and test execution pipelines.
• Prepares and presents analytical insights and automation results to cross‑functional teams and leadership.
• Collaborates with engineering teams to enhance automation coverage and support data visualization requirements using tools like Tableau.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of experience in automation development as specified in the job description.
• Strong Python automation expertise with hands‑on experience in HW/SW test engineering, UI automation scripting, Unix shell scripting, and troubleshooting automation frameworks.
• Proven AI/ML technical proficiency, including model building, mathematical foundations, data analysis, and familiarity with programming languages such as Python and R for developing and optimizing AI‑driven solutions.

Pay Details: $54.00 to $56.00 per hour
