Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in San Jose, CA. You will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable web services, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and continuous improvement.
Rate Range: $53/hour to 56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour

Requirements

Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, develop, and maintain web services applications using modern Python frameworks and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-disciplinary teams to gather requirements and deliver new or improved software modules.
- Evaluate, maintain, and optimize existing codebases, ensuring adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, providing recommendations for effective solutions.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to the adoption of new technologies, tools, and best practices within the team.
- Estimate, plan, and deliver assigned project objectives and timelines while setting engineering direction for current and future applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience designing and developing web services applications.
- Strong expertise in modern Python frameworks (such as FastAPI, Flask) and RESTful API development.
- Proven experience with data modeling using relational databases and writing complex SQL queries (preferably with Postgres).
