In this position you will serves as the Postal and Official Mail Distribution Center Manager at Hill AFB, exercising first-level supervisory and managerial authority. Provides managerial and technical oversight to ensure responsive, mission-ready operational mail center support and effective administrative mail management program operations.
Requirements
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

- Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
- May work irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- 1. Knowledge of Postal Operations and Regulations: Extensive understanding of federal statutes, postal regulations, and mail management practices.
- 2. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences, including military, civilian, and community leaders.
- 3. Leadership and Organizational Management: Proven ability to plan, organize, and direct operations within a small to medium-sized organization. Proficiency in coaching, mentoring, and motivating staff.
- 4. Privacy and Records Management: Knowledge of US Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and records management requirements.
- 5. Organizational Knowledge: Familiarity with host and tenant organizations, their functions, and missions.
- 6. Automation and Equipment Expertise: Understanding of USPS automation programs, commercial mailing machines, automated mail processing systems, and electronic records management systems.
