In this position, you will serve as the Chief of Military Voluntary Education and Education Services Officer responsible for first level supervisory authorities providing support to a team of Education and Training Specialists who are tasked with achieving mission requirements through the management of education, training, and systems management functions to include, but not limited to, military testing, tuition assistance, education services contracts, Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), counseling, military professional development, and compliance inspections. Manage annual budgetary requirements and forecast resource requirements for facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
- The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
- May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours.

- I. Professional knowledge of education theories, principles, procedures, and practices of secondary, adult, and continuing education as well as an understanding of guidance counseling methods/techniques to develop an accredited program.
- 2. Knowledge of budget regulations and procedures to administer civilian training funds and forecast and oversee resource requirements for facilities, office/classroom space, equipment, and supplies including service contracts.
- 3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- 4. Knowledge of regulations, principles, techniques, communication techniques and approaches used in guidance counseling to counsel students or enrollees regarding the establishment of educational and occupational objectives.
- 5. Skill in planning, developing, and directing adult education programs to include gathering facts, evaluating education needs, and making adjustments and improvements to accommodate program/service changes within existing resources without sacrificing quality/quantity.
- 6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
