The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full Time, Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (GS-2210-14), performing duties as the Ground Communications Division Chief, working at the Headquarters (HQ) Air Mobility Command (AMC), Scott Air Force Base (AFB), in Belleville, Illinois.
Salary ($128,967 - $167,663) based on experience.

Qualifications/Requirements
In this position you will exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Ground Communications Division and serve as senior IT specialist and consultant to senior management in support of command wide IT policy, budget, and plans for worldwide systems development, acquisition, installation, operations and maintenance in support of HQ AMC and United States Transportation Command (USTC). The work includes Networks/LANS, centralized network and information assurance tools, inside/outside cable plant, voice communications, organizational messaging, and flight line support systems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current “Top Secret” Security clearance with eligibility to gain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position.
You will serve as the senior civilian liaison for the AMC Ground Communications Division.

- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
- Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
- Ability to analyze complexities of existing and emerging technology, review/revise/develop policy, initiate plans for enhancements, and provide management sufficient technical and cost analysis information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
