We are seeking a Job Captain to support our integrated team through strong technical execution, coordination, and ownership of project documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, motivated to grow, and can contribute meaningfully to both design and construction processes while continuing to develop their leadership and technical skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the production and coordination of project drawing sets across all phases.
- Develop and manage the Revit model to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with consultants and internal team members to resolve design and documentation challenges.
- Support project execution by maintaining organized project files and managing day-to-day documentation tasks.
- Participate in and support Construction Administration efforts, including submittal review and field coordination.
- Conduct project-specific code research and apply findings to design and documentation.
- Prepare graphics, renderings, and materials for client and internal presentations.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, document meeting minutes and action items.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field staff to address constructability and coordination issues.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited school
- 5 - 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in Revit with the ability to produce and coordinate contract documents
- Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection software preferred
- Working knowledge of construction documentation, detailing, and building systems
- Basic understanding of building codes and permitting processes
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal direction
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within an integrated design-build environment
