Project Manager – Power Systems & Project Controls

Position Summary

AED Stratecon is seeking a motivated and results-driven Project Manager – Power Systems & Project Controls to support the day-to-day operations of our growing Power Systems Division. This office-based position will work directly with senior leadership to manage electrical and power systems projects from planning through execution while overseeing scheduling, project controls, cost tracking, reporting, and client deliverables.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager, Project Controls professional, or technically skilled project leader looking to grow with a fast-paced and expanding company.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems, manages multiple priorities, and thrives in a collaborative environment. A background in electrical engineering or as a licensed electrician is highly desirable, along with experience in project management, project controls, or electrical construction. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership of projects from day one.

An active security clearance is not required; however, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

· Manage multiple electrical and power systems projects from planning through completion.

· Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.

· Perform project controls functions, including schedule management, change management, and project performance tracking.

· Coordinate with clients, engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.

· Assist with estimating, proposals, procurement, and project planning.

· Identify project risks and implement effective solutions.

· Ensure projects meet quality, safety, contractual, and client requirements.

· Support the continued growth of AED Stratecon’s Power Systems Division.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field OR equivalent experience as a licensed electrician or in the electrical industry.

· 3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, project controls, electrical construction, utilities, industrial projects, or a related field.

· Background in electrical engineering or as a licensed electrician is strongly preferred.

· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software is preferred.

· Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
