Position Summary
AED Stratecon is seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Project Administrator to support projects across the company. Based in our Baton Rouge office, this position will serve as the central point of coordination between project managers, engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects remain organized, compliant, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who can anticipate project needs, keep multiple stakeholders informed, and ensure critical deliverables are completed on time with minimal supervision.
An active security clearance is not required; however, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate project activities from initiation through closeout.
· Attend project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.
· Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, document control, and project logs.
· Maintain schedules, project documentation, and contract records.
· Coordinate with project managers, engineers, field personnel, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
· Monitor project deliverables and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
· Prepare reports, correspondence, and executive-level project updates.
· Support procurement, contract administration, invoicing, and project closeout documentation.
· Identify administrative issues and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
· 5 years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, project controls, or project management support.
· Experience supporting commercial, industrial, utility, government, or infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting demanding deadlines.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera P6, SharePoint, or similar project management software is highly desirable.
· Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
