Senior Accountant

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing the monthly and year-end close process, and providing accurate financial reports. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is capable of navigating financial complexities, ensuring compliance, and guiding junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business goals.
• Assist in the preparation for audits by compiling and reviewing supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures for internal controls.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes and system efficiencies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• 5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
