The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing the monthly and year-end close process, and providing accurate financial reports. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is capable of navigating financial complexities, ensuring compliance, and guiding junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business goals.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by compiling and reviewing supporting documentation.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures for internal controls.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes and system efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
