Role: Client Billing Projects Manager
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid Schedule – 3 days onsite)
Salary: $140,000 – $165,000 / Annually

Our client, a highly respected professional services organization, is seeking a Client Billing Projects Manager to lead strategic billing initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements across billing and finance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead billing-related projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, and deliverables across cross-functional teams
- Partner with finance and IT teams to implement and enhance billing systems and tools
- Serve as SME on billing processes, fee arrangements, and system configurations
- Translate client agreements into billing system requirements and workflows
- Collaborate across billing, AR, intake, and finance teams to improve end-to-end processes
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate project updates, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years of experience in billing operations, client accounting, or revenue cycle
- Experience in professional services or legal environment preferred
- Experience leading cross-functional projects or process improvement initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems experience
- Experience with billing systems (Aderant or similar preferred)
