Job Overview
At Hotsy Equipment we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role involves overseeing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, and the use of advanced accounting software. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and facilitating audits to uphold the organization’s integrity and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare/review journal entries
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations; investigate discrepancies
- Manage multi-state sales tax reporting
- Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
- Identify process improvements and assist with system enhancements or implementations
- Review accounting work to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Participate in special projects, including financial modeling and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience (public or corporate preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica preferred, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
- Initial onboarding and training period of 3–6 months in-office
- Transition to a hybrid schedule (1–2 days in-office, remainder remote) after training
- Additional hours may be required during close periods
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
