Pay: $19–25/hr (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible start time as early as 6:00 AM)

Addison Group is partnering with a growing vision-focused healthcare organization in Phoenix to hire a Medical Billing Specialist. This team is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and is seeking an experienced billing professional to support their revenue cycle operations.
Job Description:
The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle billing within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role will focus on claim submission, payment posting, denial follow-up, and working closely with payors—especially AHCCCS—to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle billing including charge entry, claim submission, and follow-up
• Work AHCCCS claims and ensure compliance with state-specific billing guidelines
• Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Submit corrected claims and appeals with appropriate documentation
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits as needed
• Analyze aging reports and prioritize accounts for follow-up
• Communicate with payors via portals and phone to resolve claim issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of all billing activity within the system
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Qualifications:
• 2 years of medical billing experience (full-cycle required)
• Required experience working with AHCCCS
• Strong knowledge of commercial and government payors
• Experience with denial management and appeals
• Ability to read and interpret EOBs and remittance advice
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
