Job Description:
We are seeking an HRIS & Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR systems management. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll, maintaining employee data, and providing responsive support to employees and managers. Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration
- Assist with weekly payroll processing, including reviewing timecards and tracking hours worked
- Support payroll updates such as deductions, adjustments, and employee changes
- Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour regulations
- Benefits Administration
- Respond to employee questions related to benefits programs (health, retirement, etc.)
- Support enrollments, qualifying life events, and open enrollment cycles
- Coordinate with benefit providers to resolve issues and discrepancies
- Assist with leave tracking and administration, including FMLA and other leave types
- HRIS & Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee records across HRIS and payroll systems
- Process employee updates and ensure data integrity
- Generate HR reports and assist with audits and compliance activities
- Support system updates, troubleshooting, and process improvements
- HR Operations & Employee Support
- Serve as a primary contact for HR-related employee and manager inquiries
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and communication
- Coordinate credentialing and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Maintain organized HR documentation and records
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Follow established HR workflows and identify opportunities for increased efficiency
- Support reporting, audits, and compliance-related initiatives
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, payroll, benefits, or a related role
- Hands-on experience supporting payroll processes and benefits administration
- Familiarity with payroll functions such as time tracking, deductions, and compliance
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, Rippling, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills with a responsive, service-oriented approach
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience in healthcare, medical, or fast-paced environments preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
