Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Human Resources will partner with leadership to oversee employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance for a diverse workforce. This role plays a key part in supporting organizational growth and ensuring a positive employee experience across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily HR operations, including employee relations and disciplinary actions
- Oversee benefits and workers’ compensation programs
- Support recruiting efforts across multiple departments and roles
- Assist with HR system transitions and implementation of new HRIS/payroll platforms
- Partner with leadership on retention initiatives, engagement programs, and performance metrics
- Provide guidance and support to team members at all levels, from front-line staff to executives
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Previous experience in hospitality (hotel or resort strongly preferred)
- Strong background in employee relations, recruiting, and benefits administration
- Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems; experience in system transitions is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Warm and approachable leadership style, with a balance of strategic and hands-on skills
Additional Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
- Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday (occasional weekends required), standard business hours
- Reporting Structure: Reports to HR Director
- Interview Process: In-person panel interview (completed in one day)
- Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
