Our client is a luxury staging and furniture rental company. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Secaucus, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Support automation of financial workflows using tools like Power BI
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, allocations, taxes, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ensure general ledger accuracy and investigate discrepancies
- Analyze account variances to provide insights for FP&A and leadership reporting
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records
- Enhance processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across accounting functions
- Produce and maintain GAAP-compliant financial statements for joint ventures
- Execute account reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions, including interest calculations
- Evaluate financial data and contribute to reporting, audits, and ad hoc projects
Requirements
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Public, combo, or private experience
- Open to industry
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, accruals, and financial statement preparation
- Experience with system implementation
- Excellent communication skills
