Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 Bonus

About the Opportunity
Our agency is working with a highly respected, fast-growing professional services firm that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Newark, NJ office. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting strength, polished communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
This is an excellent fit for either a seasoned accounting professional from corporate/professional services or a high-achieving public accounting professional seeking their first in-house role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support core accounting functions, including month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
- Manage multi-entity accounting tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Partner with internal stakeholders - including senior leadership and legal teams - to provide financial insights
- Support process improvements and help strengthen the accounting function as the firm continues to grow
- Participate in special projects, M&A-related integration work, and ad hoc analysis as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience in professional services, law firms, public accounting, or multi-entity environments
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with executives and highly educated stakeholders
- Proven ability to operate independently, prioritize deadlines, and handle sensitive financial information
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to accuracy
