Our client is a real estate firm. They seek an AR Manager to join their Maywood, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily functions of the Accounts Receivable group, coordinating operational workflow and priorities
- Engage tenants through consistent communication to encourage prompt settlement of outstanding balances
- Formulate and carry out collection approaches designed to reduce aging receivables and improve cash flow
- Coordinate with tenants and internal departments to investigate and clear unresolved balance inquiries
- Analyze payment variances by reviewing billed amounts against remittances and identifying discrepancies
- Document detailed account activity and maintain comprehensive records related to balances and charges
- Administer departmental practices and evaluate results against performance indicators and organizational objectives
- Manage tenant default matters and assist with legal or dispute-related cases alongside internal and outside partners
- Track tenant financial stability and relevant developments to anticipate potential collection risks
- Guide team members through coaching and mentorship while supporting reporting, process improvements, and internal control reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in an AR supervisory role
- Real estate experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and independent
- MRI or Yardi experience preferred
