Zscaler is Hiring a Sr. Manager of Software Automation and Testing Near San Jose, CA

Responsibilities:
  • Seasoned leader overseeing the planning, design, implementation and testing of high-capacity software applications.
  • Review and steer the team towards scalable, highly secure architectures that fulfill present and future business requirements.
  • You will be expected to participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, implementation, test and automation.
  • Develop functional specifications, assess task requirements and scheduling and participate in the development, debug, and support issues reported from the field.
  • Develop and enact policies and best practices to standardize development practices across a sizable team.
  • Continuously evaluate the development roadmap to suggest enhancements in performance, quality, functionality, security and alignment with the company’s future trajectory.
  • Establish performance standards and expectations for team members, encouraging them to meet or surpass performance and quality benchmarks and readying them for the future.
  • Define unit test standards and implement automation for all products and features managed by the team

Required Skill-Set:

  • Proficient in C and C# programming languages, with 8 years of hands-on experience.
  • Experience on Windows desktop application development experience
  • Knowledge on tools like Visual Studio, WinDBG, Wireshark, fiddler
  • Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in crafting large, sustainable software product architectures.
  • Skilled in conducting design and code reviews, automatable unit and integration tests.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Initiative-driven self-starter who takes ownership, identifies tasks, and sees them through to completion; goal-oriented.
  • Capable of collaborating with remote teams, managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Exposure to networking domain and proxies is an added advantage
  • Profound understanding of network protocols and complex technologies such as HTTP, ICMP, or UDP protocols is essential.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or information technology, is required.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior experience leading teams in the Digital Experience Monitoring space.
  • Must possess 5 years of experience managing development teams for complex data-driven applications and interfaces.
  • Requires 5 years of hands-on design and development experience in planet-scale applications.
  • Experience in leading both onsite and offshore team members is preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise working closely with engineering/technical teams is necessary.
  • Ability to establish strong rapport with business leaders, engineering leaders, and customers is crucial.
  • Capability to drive impact at scale, recruit, and manage high-performing technical leaders is a must.
  • Proven experience in building successful, customer-centric teams and operating models aligned with business delivery is required.
  • Dedication to building inclusive teams and fostering an inclusive team culture is essential.
