The Monarch Tractor will both spur and enable future generations of farming technologies. We have the technology and the team to develop, build, and scale the Monarch to digitally transform farming around the world.

Responsibilities:

1. Leader for the Technical Program Management team

- Manage, coach, and grow the TPM team members

 -Coordinate work across the TPM team members

-Performance reviews and performance management

-Create job descriptions and hire TPM team members as needed

-Foster team morale and comradery 

-Cover any team bandwidth gaps due to vacation, personnel changes, etc.

2. Co-Leader for Program Management and Technical Leadership training

-Work with CTO to develop TPM technical leader training curriculum

-Coordinate training presenters and directly run some training sessions

-Create and follow up on training activities / homework

-Kickoff training program within first 30 days and settle into cadence in first 90 days

-Become the go-to sounding board for other TPMs to work through issues

3. Department Level Program and Project Prioritization, Tracking, and Problem Solving

-Establish and maintain per-project schedules and budgets tied to resource loading projections

-Identify resource overlaps, gaps, and underutilization via project resource loading role up at the department level

-Extend forward looking issue identification (resources, lead time, technical risk, etc.) from weeks to months (within 90 days) to quarters (within 180 days)

-Work with TPMs and engineering managers to resolve parallel project conflicts and actively slalom between milestones on different projects

4. Champion for Hardware Team Process Improvement

-Working directly and through the TPM and hardware leadership team, establish improved process workflows with cross-department buy-in

-Actively and through TPM coaching better define handoffs and boundaries between departments and teams within the hardware organization

-Establish ownership of and milestones for each process improvement project

 Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in technical program management, preferably in the agricultural machinery or automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of tractor technology, diagnostics, and repair processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices, with experience in implementing quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve service operations.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
