About the role

Jump on board to our rapidly growing origination team located in Overland Park, KS. As a ZHL Mortgage Loan Officer, we provide you leads on-demand, allowing you to focus more on your client and less on your marketing and branding. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Originate mortgage loans

• Answer and manage incoming calls from customers

• Provide exceptional customer service through timely follow up and courteous professional correspondence

• Establish and build relationships with customers and applicable partners such as real estate agents, etc.

• Analyze client’s need in order to ensure compliance and maximum customer satisfaction

• Consult with borrowers from inquiry to close securing borrower financial/credit information, proper documentation and guiding loan progress through processing/closing

• Obtain and validate required financial and credit data to qualify clients

• Ensure successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Officer Training and Licensing activities

• Understand and comply with requirements of applicable federal and state laws and regulations

• Stay informed of current regulations

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of available loan programs including FHA, VA, Conventional, ARM, Jumbo, etc.

• Successfully structuring loans for fulfillment partners to underwrite, process & fund

• Collaboration with team members and sharing best practices

• Other duties as assigned

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within reasonable commuting distance of their designated ZG office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation and equity awards. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• Active NMLS Loan Originator with multiple state licenses or a Loan Originator working under a bank license required 

• Completion of 20-hr SAFE Pre-licensing Education

• Successfully passed SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test - National Component with Uniform State Content required 

• 1 years of mortgage sales experience required

• 2 years of sales, call center, and customer service experience highly preferred

• Associates or Bachelors degree highly preferred

• Financial/business background preferred

• Proficient in MS products such as outlook, word, and excel

• Passionate about client relationships; you like connecting with people and believe in changing people’s lives for the better

• Confident working in a phone sales environment and effectively communicate over phone, email, text, etc.
