Zeplin is Hiring a Remote Paralegal

About Zeplin 

Zeplin is looking for a highly-motivated Paralegal and Legal Operations Manager with strong attention to detail, a self-starter attitude, and a dedication to continual improvement of personal skills and team processes. You’ll be the second legal hire at Zeplin, reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with key company stakeholders to help scale and simplify all legal operations at Zeplin. While primarily focusing on U.S. business needs, we are a US-based corporation that operates internationally, so you will also find many opportunities to support our EMEA teams and clients. Working closely with our Sales and Operations teams, you will lead the building and streamlining of our legal processes to support a rapidly scaling startup.

About the Role

  • Coordinate execution of electronic and physical documents (including proofreading, redlining, formatting, signing and filing), and escalating issues when needed
  • Review a range of commercial agreements including NDAs, and supplier contracts for compliance with our deal rules.
  • Maintain corporate files related to equity, subsidiaries, corporate governance, and finance matters.
  • Assist with materials in support of the Zeplin’s Board of Directors meetings, including decks, resolutions, templates, and meeting minutes.
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal crew, including tracking deadlines, maintaining the legal drive and records, scheduling, and other tasks as needed
  • Triage and track incoming legal requests
  • Support and implement new workflows for the legal crew, including helping select and launch new legal technology tools
  • Identify needs to implement and improve Zeplin's policies and procedures to manage legal and business risk on a global scale
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and internal security departments to ensure all processes remain compliant

Requirements

  • Experience working with legal teams and documents as a paralegal, or contract/project management experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong attention to detail with stellar organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships

Preferred

  • 4-8 Years of experience working as a paralegal or legal operations manager
  • Experience working with start-ups in the tech industry
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Experience operating in a hyper-growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Hands-on experience with legal technology tools and applications; such as Carta, Ironclad, Workflows for Slack, and/or Salesforce.
