JOB PURPOSES:

Set up banquet room and serve food and/or beverage in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to Hilton’s high standards of quality

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Captain to include linen, service ware and glassware, and set up back of the house supplies for banquet event
• Attend pre-shift meetings to learn function particulars, for example: knowing the event menu, guests that we are servicing and hotel expectations.
• Greet and introduce yourself to guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverage in the order sequence and to the expectation of the banquet Captain to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
• Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal and at the end of the meal/function.
• Buffet and bartending set up and service may be required as well.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Once banquet is complete, clean up and/or reset banquet room according to Banquet Captain’s specifications, endure the readiness of the room for the following function.

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Banquet server/buffet and bartending experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• TABC certified required
• Food handler's certification required
