Carrier Sales Representative - ( 2106AK ) **JOB SUMMARY**
Responsible for building relationships with regionally aligned carriers for assignment to HNRYs brokerage freight. This role will consist of active solitication for available equipment along with rate negotiation, tracking and issue resolution.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Source and negotiate with carrier base to move available van loads.
- Build carrier relationships via phone and email.
- Communicate customer problems, issues, and inquiries to the Logistics Management team.
- Properly document orders in the HNRY TMS.
- Dispatch and track drivers.
- Aid in P.O.D. retrieval.
- Understand and support the goals, policies, and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Assist in quoting.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelors degree or two (2) years experience in sales, customer service, logistics or other related area.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service attitude and skills.
- Ability to learn TMS software.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated organizational and scheduling skills.
- Meet internal KPIs as set by management.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelors degree in Business or Supply Chain.
- One to two (1-2) years experience with a 3PL or freight broker.
- Experience working in a deadline driven environment.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
