At Sharkies Swim School, we impact families' lives every day. We help swimmers of all ages reach (and exceed) their goals. We teach life-saving swimming skills, but we have fun while we do it. Responsibilities:

  • You are expected to interact with all customers, students, and staff in an upbeat and positive manner that supports the Sharkies Brand Standard.
  • Mastery of all Sharkies programs, procedures, policies, products, and functions is required to provide all necessary information confidently.
  • Convert leads into registrations by asking open-ended questions to determine customer needs and make appropriate product recommendations.
  • Establish an ongoing relationship with customers to drive long-term enrollment through consistent communication and being well-informed regarding their student's lesson progress.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor when faced with customer dissatisfaction by gracefully diffusing the disgruntled customer’s concerns and objections and escalating to a manager or supervisor when unable to resolve customer issues.
  • Conduct administrative duties such as filling out quarterly progress reports and updating parents on their swimmers’ progress.
  • Stay current on certifications by attending in-service training and additional supplemental training courses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • You must be available to work a minimum of two weekday afternoon shifts (3- 8 p.m.) and Saturday OR Sunday (8 am—2 pm). If needed, you can supplement the schedule with additional afternoon or morning shifts (9 am-1 pm).
  • Must be willing to train as a swim instructor so you are well-versed in our teaching methodology.
  • Have a friendly personality and possess strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with children.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain regular, dependable attendance and be punctual.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the US.

Hours and Schedule: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
