Younity is looking for Low Voltage Technicians to join our rapidly growing Operations team. This role will report directly to our Director of Operations and will be responsible for executing and improving on our various structured wiring and telecom work throughout the five boroughs.
About Us: Younity is a residential IoT company redefining the wireless experience in multi-family properties. We design and build property-wide WiFi networks that ensure buildings are secure, always connected, and prepared for easy technical adaptations and evolutions. We provide tenants with a cheaper, faster and better internet experience with no hidden costs or tricks.
Responsibilities:
Installing cable management (conduit, ladders, racks, j-hooks, raceways)
Pulling CAT6 cable in both retrofit and new construction environments
Terminating RJ45 jacks and patch panels
Installing telecom racks, rack accessories, and devices
Experience and Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license and an OSHA 30 10 SST CARD
Must have 3 years experience in structured wiring for multifamily (MDU) new construction or commercial new construction.
Must have experience running both coax and ethernet wires in multiple structural environments (drop ceilings, raceways, conduit, metal frames, wood frames, etc’.)
Experience using digital multimeters and testing network cables
Experience troubleshooting network wiring issues
Experience installing rack enclosures and rack devices, including cable management
Experience working with floor plans and line diagrams
Experience wiring for and installing access control systems is a plus
Experience wiring for and installing audio visual systems is a plus
Experience core drilling and fire stopping is a plus
Experience installing conduit, including cutting and bending is a plus
Experience managing teams as a foreman or lead technician is a plus
Experience running, splicing, and terminating Fiber is a plus
Compensation:
Salary range of $70,000-$140,000 depending on experience.
Weekly paychecks.
Full health, vision and dental insurance package is included.
This position is for full time employment, during regular business hours, only.
