Low Voltage Wiring Technician

Description

NYC Based Security/ Low Voltage company looking to hire for immediate full-time employment.
Day to day task will involve wire pulling, wire terminations, use of ladders, power tools and various hand tools plus driving company vehicle from site to site. Work will be performed on new and current clients of CCTV, Data/Tel Wiring, Alarm, and Access control systems.

Requirements

• 2 years wiring experience required
• Pull Low Voltage wire, test and tone
• Proper Termination of Cat 5e, Cat 6, BNC, RG 6, and other structured cables a must, no exceptions.
• Ability to work in Retrofit/New Construction & Indoor/Outdoor locations
• Safe and Proper use of power drills and all ladders.
• OSHA 40/SST Certification

Physical Capability:

• Ability to lift and carry a 50lbs.
• Ability to climb a 35’ Ladder.
• Ability to safely use a 40’ scissor lift.
• Operate in a non-climate-controlled environment (Summer/Winter)
• Work inside and outside in various weather conditions

Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
• Days Per Week: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7.00 am - 3.30 pm
• Work normal business hours but willing to work some weekends, overnights &travel if needed. (Salary compensation available for weekends, overnights & travel work)

Driving Ability:

• A have a clean driving record.
• Must be ready, willing, and able to dive a company van daily.
• Willing to drive throughout the New York tristate area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
